How do I know if I need therapy?  

Sometimes emotional distress is experienced with physical symptoms.  It is always important to first check with your physician to determine if there is a medical cause.  Examples of these types of symptoms include:

  • Irregular sleep patterns
  • Restlessness or irritability
  • Loss of enjoyment in hobbies, my friends, family or leisure activities
  • Trouble managing diabetes, hypertension or other chronic illness
  • Unexplained nagging aches and pains
  • Digestive problems
  • Headaches or backaches
  • Joint or muscle pains
  • Chest pain
  • Dizziness
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Comments from others on my mood or attitude lately
  • Weight changes
