Dr. Betty Jordan, LeBauer HealthcareDr. Betty Jordan is now seeing patients at LeBauer HealthCare at Brassfield! Learn more about Dr. Jordan in this Q&A:

Q:  What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

A:  I enjoy the opportunity to work with people, patients and colleagues, and through teamwork endeavor toward achieving optimum medical outcomes that promote healthier and happier lives.

Q:  What made you decide to pursue a career in medicine?

A:  I like medicine because it is a learning profession.  It is a field that remains in a state of continuous improvement. As one who embraces lifelong learning, I welcome the opportunity to encounter new information and to apply it in more effective solutions that achieve improved outcomes and healthier patients.

Q:  What is your best advice for staying well and healthy?

A:  Life gives no one a level path on which to travel. There are ups, downs, and ample amounts of chaos in between. The stress of it all can make it tempting to give in and to do what is easy to the exclusion of that which is harder, though more worthwhile. But you must fight against the allure of convenience. You must spend time with the people who you love. You must eat healthy foods. You must sleep well. And you must regularly engage in physical activity that you enjoy and to which you can remain committed.

Q:  What can patients do to ensure good communication with doctors?

A:  Always be upfront about and prioritize the health concerns that you want to address during your visit. Being forthright about your issues and expectations helps providers dedicate appropriate time and resources to address your concerns and those of other patients.

Q:  What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?

A:  I enjoy pottery, spending time with my family, and watching superhero and kung fu-themed television shows and movies.
