Clinic Registered Nurse:

    Qualifications:  One year of Cardiac nursing experience required.  Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice and the ability to apply nursing techniques to administer patient care; Skill in maintaining patient records and correspondence with patients and referring offices; ability to maintain quality standards; Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations; Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication with an elderly patient population required.  Professionalism is a must.
    Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Possession of a North Carolina Registered Nurse License; Valid NC Driver’s License; Vehicle for personal transport; CPR certification; ACLS Certification preferred.
    Duties:  General nursing care to cardiac patients (adult and geriatric); educating patients and family members; maintain and review patient charts; Respond to incoming telephone messages; Occasional travel possible to areas in Guilford, Alamance, and Rockingham Counties.
    Hours:  Forty hours per week; Monday-Friday; Four days per week; Ten hours per day, usually 8 am to 6 pm.

Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse:

    Duties:  Cover various positions in the office including: General nursing for cardiac patients (adult and geriatric); telephone triage; venipuncture; chest x-ray; holter and event monitoring; and stress testing.  In-house training and other classes provided. Occasional travel possible to areas in Guilford, Alamance, and Rockingham Counties.
    Hours:  Forty hours per week; Monday-Friday; Four days per week; Ten hours per day, usually 8 am to 6 pm.

Clinic Medical Assistant:
    Qualifications:  Two years of front office experience in a medical setting with Cardiology / emphasis preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Knowledge of professional theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care needed. Superior customer service and teamwork required, as well as excellent communication with teen, adult, and geriatric patients.  Professionalism is a must.
    Education:  High School Graduate.  Prefer graduate of medical assisting program. CPR certification; Valid NC Driver’s License; Vehicle for personal transport.
    Duties:  Under the direction of the physician and in conjunction with a Clinic RN, provides quality care to patients during office visits - Patient prep for physician examination; Basic cardiac tests; Chart prep; Paperwork; Medication refills; Telephone triage; Scheduling.  Occasional travel possible to areas in Guilford, Alamance, and Rockingham Counties.
    Hours:  Relief as needed.

Gastroenterology Division:

Clinic Endoscopy RN II: 


    Qualifications:  Experience in administering conscious sedation required.  

    Education:  High School Graduate or GED.  Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.  BCLS.  ACLS a plus.


    Licensure:  Current NC RN license.

    Duties:  Assists physicians in providing patient care by preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, recording medical history and medications, and maintaining timely patient flow.  Schedules patients for procedures and diagnostic testing.  Instruct patients on procedure preparation.  Orders, prepares and reviews patients’ medical charts.  Works closely with other nursing personnel.

    Hours:  Part time position available (20 hours/2 days per week), 7:30 am. – 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, rotating days off.  No call, no weekends, and no holidays!

    Salary Range: Based on experience. 

Clinic Certified Medical Assistant:

    Hours:  Full time position, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

    Duties: Greets, instructs, directs patients and visitors. Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and make appointments. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff.

    Hours: Forty hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

    Duties: The basic purpose is to courier charts back and forth for the Elam and Church St. facilities, and to pull charts and electronically sign them out.

Clinic Office Assistant/Medical Records:

    Qualifications:  One year of physician office experience preferred.

    Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

    Duties: Primarily responsible for maintaining smooth flow of patient charts and information within the clinic and acting as liaison between clinic and Medical Records staff members. Also functions as support for other administrative positions in the clinic, i.e. Scheduling and Registration.

    Hours:  Full time position, 8 hour evenings, Monday-Friday, 4pm-12:30am.

Clinic Office Assistant/Medical Records:

    Duties: To maintain medical record flow, ensure chart tracking is up-to-date, and the chart retrieval process is guaranteed. To insure that patient care information is available to clinical staff, patients, reimbursement and other care providers.
