How does the office handle my phone calls?

Your calls are important to us and we try to answer within 24 hours…unless it is an urgent call.

When you call, what happens next is that the front desk staff writes down the information, pulls the chart and gives it to the nurse. Only in urgent cases the nurse and doctor take action immediately. Otherwise, the chart is put in the To Do List and is taken care of as soon as we can. During busy season (winter, flu time) it may take more than 24 hours.
Unfortunately refills are not urgent in our mind; please call 5 days before you run out (if you use your local pharmacy) and 2 weeks if you mail your prescription.
If you have an emergency (a situation that is worse than an urgency) you should go to the ER or call 911.
